I feel that the lighting in many of my photos was of poor quality and could have been done much better. many of the pictures lighting was too dark in places but then shining in others this made them of poor quality and hard to edit into my magazine or edit with other pictures.

Where the picture was too dark I found it very hard to cut objects from the rest of the picture as the editing tools I used could not tells the colours apart. Also once the photos had been edited it was easy to tell they were taken from another picture as the lighting would look strange on them. Compared to the photos on big time magazines mine were poor. the pictures you see in these magazines have had professional photographers using special lighting and screen to take their photos. I feel I could have used a better background for my pictures. i feel if i had a greenscreen my pictures would have been much easyer to edit in fireworks. I also think that i should have thought more about the lighting and maybe have brought in more lights to light different angle. magazines will usually use much artificial lighting that they have placed in certain places to make thier images as high quality as they can.

If I was to make another magazine I would  put more thought into props and would spend a day simply finding props I want to use and places I would like for my backgrounds. I would find the right person who would look right in the photos. I would also spend time writing my ideas and thinking of more ideas.

Evaluation of Production

I feel that my presentation went well. I feel I got my point over a best as I could and spoke in a calm clear voice. I Sometimes found it hard to think of what to say next but I feel I Managed to improvise what to say next quite well.

I feel I could have made my presentation better by putting many more slides into it and put much more useful information on it that explores the subject fully. I aslo think that if I had planned what I was goin to say before I  Presented it I could have got alot more useful information over to the class.

I feel that my two page spread was very well put together and had very effective pictures on it of what it was about. I found it quite easy to put the pictures onto my two page spread because I had most of the pictures that I needed strait away as my friend was willing o have pictures taken of him in with banjo and guitar. I feel that the pictures used for the two page spread were very affective because they were very relevant to the magazine genre of country and western music.

 I feel that the way that the two page spread was put together was very effective as it looked a lot like other music magazines have their two page spreads. I feel that the large picture on the left of the page was an extremely effective idea as it makes the page a lot more stylish and give it a better feeling that it is made by a professional. I also feel that the way the pictures are shaped and placed make he two page spread a lot more interesting which I feel will appeal more o a reader of he magazine.

I feel that the main thing that went wrong with the two page spread was that some of the picture are a bit blurred and not of as high quality as some of the other pictures in magazines. I think that I could have improved on this by taking some of the pictures using a tripod and also by using lenses that are made for taking picture for magazines.

I feel that the pictures make it very clear of what type of genre magazine it is as there are lots of banjo and guitars in the pictures which strongly suggest that it is a country and western magazine.

I think that I could have improved my two page spread by taking many more pictures and putting much more research into country and western magazine and how hey are usually laid out. I think that could also have got people to get more costumes for the pictures that I took for the magazine.

I found that this was one of the only magazines that did not try to emphasis their title more than all of the other things on the front cover. I feel this is becasue they are such a well known magazine that they do not need to as poeple will already be looking for the magazine. Although they did not emphasis their title as muchas some other things they still emphasised it quite alot to make sure that their target audience can find the magazine easily.

The magazine made the names of the bands seen inside the largest thig to be seen on the front cover. This is to show their target audience what bands are in it. I feel they also did this because the bands they usually have on the front are very well known and famouse bands. This will attract people who have heard of the bands but not the magazine.

 The magazine Music consentrate mainly on classical music.

The magazines titles stand out in front of every thing else and is in large letters. I feel that that gives the title the look of importance and makes it stand out very well. I feel this is important because the people who buy this magazine would go out purely to buy and and with the title standing out it would be easy for them to find. the title is a very well known title in England and the magazine is made by a very well known company the ’BBC’ so that even if poeple do not know the magazine they will still know that the chances are that it will be a very well made magazine. This tells the reader that the magazine will most probibly worth the money it costs. as the magazines name is well known as a classical magazine it does not need anything on the cover to show you that it is a classical music magazine.

The magazine Country Corner concentrates purely on country and western music.

The magazine uses a very simple and effective picture of an old style sherrif from the old west. This is to show that the music will be old fashioned and the music will be western. it shows this because the sherrif is usually found in the wild west in america.I feel that this is a very effective way to show the style of music without having to mention any names of song or show any instruments.

The magazine only uses one picture which shows the style of music .It does not shows any pictures of instruments or singers but it was a well known magazine in its time so it did not need any other picures to show what type of magazine it is. People would be able to recognise the magazine as a western and counrty music magazine from seeing the title.

The magzine uses only the colours of the picture and the colour yellow for the title and other information. This akes it look simple and effective and still be able to catch your attention without overwhelming you.

I feel that the magazine was put together very well with the title in front of the background of the main picture but behind the amn in the man picture.I feel this make the ttle stand out more so that you can easily see it. i think that it was a god idea to put the part about who is featured in the magazine in the bottom right hand corner tucked away as it is not as important in this magazine because it was a well known magazine in its time.
